Bitsixteen was set up in summer 2009 by Paul Fegan, having spent almost 12 years recording and editing voiceover audio for the eLearning industry.  Paul has extensive experience recording on all manner of topics, such as finance, pharmaceutical, and telecommunications, to name just a few.  He has also recorded and edited audio in a variety of languages, including Irish, French, Swedish, Chinese, and Japanese.

Bitsixteen‘s philosophy is simple: ensure the comfort of the voicover artist and they will perform at their best.  We want to guide you, the client, from your script to your finished audio with the greatest of ease.  To those who are not familiar with the technicalities of audio, or the art of directing voiceovers, don’t worry about it.  We love talking to and helping clients.  We love looking over scripts.  We love to direct voiceovers.  And most of all: we love to deliver perfect audio to satisfied clients.

Voiceover recording, directing and post-production

We know that every script has a message to deliver.  At bitsixteen, we have over 15 years’ experience directing voiceover artists, tuning them into your message so that they hit that crucial note.  Whether it’s for eLearning, marketing, IVR or any other media, we will ensure that we nail the tone and pace you were looking for.

Sound design

You’ve put a lot of time and effort into your animations and videos and now you need to complement that with clever, precisely-timed audio.  At bitsixteen, we love sound design and will make sure that your project sounds as good as it looks.

Music production

You know what music you want for your project.  You can hear it in your head.  But you just can’t find it anywhere.  Why not leave it to us to find it for you? Tell us what you need and we’ll take care of the rest.  Will we will source killer stock music for you and edit it to suit the duration of your media.  Or, if you’re still unsure, we can compose bespoke music for you right here at bitsixteen.

Video production

Yes, we can handle this for you, too.  Bitsixteen works with tried and trusted partners who have years of experience filming for television and other media.  And we don’t just farm it out; we’re involved every step of the way.  We’ll talk you through your project to ensure you’re happy with every aspect of production.  We will book any and all talent you require and we’ll be on location on the day to direct your session.  So we’ll be with you all the way through to final delivery.

Listening in

Would you like to listen in on your recording session? Do you feel it needs to be directed by you or a member of your team? Or both?  No problem.  We have a Skype feed into the studio so you can speak directly to the voiceover or engineer/director as and whenever you please. And if you don’t have Skype, or if you’re calling from a company that doesn’t allow it, don’t fret.  Just provide a number at which we can call you and we’ll add you to the Skype conference so you can listen in on your phone.

 

The Studio

Our studio is located in Artane on the north side of Dublin and was built in 2009/10.  Before taking on the challenge of building our own facility, we consulted veteran voiceover and carpenter, Mark Tankersley, who had helped build GBT Studios in Nashville, Tennessee.  As well as having an extensive knowledge of sound-proofing and acoustics, Mark was also able to draw on his own experiences as a voiceover artist for the sound-booth design.  With Paul’s engineering history and Mark’s professional background, bitsixteen‘s new studio was built with quality and voiceover comfort in mind, meaning that whichever voiceover you choose to voice your project, their minds will be on nothing but nailing your message.
