In Shakespeare is Hard, but so is Life, Fintan O’Toole studies four of the Elizabethan playwright’s works, Hamlet, Macbeth, Othello and King Lear, and suggests that its tragic hereos have been over-simplified through Victorian values and that if we want to truly understand their complexities, we need to view them through a 16th century lens. So if you’re a fan of either Fintan or Shakespeare (or both), you’re going to love this work.
My understanding is that this was Fintan’s first time narrating an audiobook, but he read it as if it was his fiftieth.
